Description
So, a girl and her friends work their asses off for several weeks, applying advanced EVA foam crafting techniques so that it doesn't look like EVA foam; burning their fingers on hot glue while making armor ornaments; boiling chicken bones to take their molds and cast them out of fiberglass; almost poisoning themselves by inhaling too much fiberglass fumes; sewing leather parts by hand and cursing every minute of it; painting the damn thing in infinite shades of blacks and bronzes so that it matches the original beetle shell texture; sewing the right extensions into the right wig so that it looks elfy and kingly and not like Tina goddamn Turner; and experimenting with makeup to find the right balance and look theatrically dramatic, but not like an overdone black swan ballerina - and you know what part of the costume gets praised the most?
Wait, I don't think I actually want to answer that in public. Let's just say that never before have I received that many compliments for "attention to detail".
